At Nobility Care Australia, your safety and well-being are our highest priorities. We firmly believe that everyone has the right to feel safe and live in an environment free from harm, neglect, exploitation, discrimination, or any form of abuse.

We recognise that certain groups in our community, including people with disabilities, children, and young people, can be particularly vulnerable. It's crucial that we identify, consult, and respond effectively when anyone is at risk of significant harm.

Understanding Risks to Safety

People with disabilities, children, and young people may face increased risks due to factors such as:

  • Domestic and family violence
  • Physical, sexual, or emotional abuse
  • Neglect

Abuse can manifest in many forms, including:

  • Physical Abuse
  • Psychological or Emotional Abuse
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Neglect
  • Domestic and Family Abuse

Bullying is also a significant concern, defined as the systematic or repetitive abuse of power intentionally causing psychological harm. This can include verbal, physical, and social forms of abuse, and can happen anywhere, anytime.

Our Commitment to Your Safety

To uphold our commitment to safety, Nobility Care Australia aims to:

  • Take a proactive approach: We focus on preventing harm and ensuring participation in safety planning.
  • Empower individuals: We value your input and support your right to contribute to decisions affecting your life.
  • Foster openness: We cultivate an environment where everyone feels comfortable disclosing risks of harm.
  • Respect diversity: We value diverse cultures and child-rearing practices while always prioritising safety.
  • Ensure clear communication: We make sure you know who to talk to if you're worried or feel unsafe, and encourage you to raise any issues.
  • Value families and advocates: We welcome their input and communicate regularly to build a strong support network.

Speaking Up Against Abuse

If you have witnessed abuse, suspect it has occurred, or are experiencing it yourself, we strongly encourage you to speak up. Nobility Care Australia will support you, and you can make a report confidentially, without fear of retribution.

By working together, we can ensure a safe and supportive community for everyone. Your choice to speak up makes a vital difference.
